Volunteer
Volunteering for Contemporaries events is a great way to make friends while giving back to the Museum. Each event offers an array of volunteer opportunities, led by a planning committee composed of Board members. Volunteers are asked to commit to serving on the same committee for a minimum of 1 year.

Join the Contemporaries Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is a group of 20 Contemporaries Members who manage the business and affairs of the Contemporaries membership with guidance from Museum staff. The Board meets monthly to review current activities and recommend future programs.
We invite Contemporaries Members to nominate candidates for the 2010-2011 Board of Directors. We are looking for young, energetic professionals who are interested in promoting the Museum through social and educational events. The Board position is a two-year term commitment. The responsibilities of the Board include:
- co-chairing a minimum of one event per year
- volunteering during events
- attending monthly board meetings (3rd Wednesday of the month, 6:15 p.m.)
- obtaining sponsorships for events
- promoting all Contemporaries events
Nominations for 2010-2011 Board are due by May 19, 2010.

Then the Nominating Committee will prepare a slate of nominees for approval by the current Board. Upon approval, each nominee will be asked if he or she wishes to be considered for election. The 2010–2011 Board of Directors and its executive committee shall be elected by the majority vote of the membership present at the annual meeting on June 16, 2010.
