Volunteer
Volunteering for Contemporaries events is a great way to make friends while giving back to the Museum. Each event offers an array of volunteer opportunities, led by a planning committee composed of Board members. If you have an interest in serving on one of our committees, please see the “Committees” tab on this site for more detailed information.

Join the Contemporaries Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is a group of Contemporaries Members who manage the business and affairs of the Contemporaries membership with guidance from Museum staff. The Board meets monthly to review current activities and recommend future programs.
The Board position is a two-year term commitment. New Board members are nominated each spring. The responsibilities of the Board include:
- co-chairing a minimum of one event per year
- volunteering during events
- attending monthly board meetings (3rd Wednesday of the month, 6:15 p.m.)
- obtaining sponsorships for events
- promoting all Contemporaries events
