Who are the NCMA Contemporaries?

The Contemporaries are a dynamic group of young professionals committed to promoting the arts and increasing Museum membership in the greater Triangle area. Through a broad range of special events and educational activities, the Contemporaries raise funds to be used primarily to support art acquisitions.

Contemporaries events include:

  • Monthly Art on Tap mixers at Triangle-area bars and galleries
  • Champagne and chocolate tasting event
  • First Friday meet-ups
  • Beer, barbecue, and a retro summer movie in the Museum Park
  • Labor Day Weekend white party
  • Art purchase parties
  • Annual New Year’s Eve party
